Feralco (UK) Ltd

Feralco (UK) Ltd was formed in January 2001 following the acquisition by Feralco AB of the Alcan and Rockwood (formerly Laporte) water treatment chemical operations. The two UK-based businesses were merged to develop Feralco’s activities in the UK.

Commitment to investment in its UK manufacturing base has reinforced the Group’s position as a leader in the market which is backed by a first class support team with a reputation for reliable and prompt customer service, technical expertise and efficient delivery.

The aluminium sulphate manufacturing facility in Glasgow (formerly R&J Garroway) was relocated to Grangemouth in 2002 and a new state-of-the-art aluminium sulphate plant was commissioned in Widnes in 2005. Combined capacity for the manufacture of aluminium sulphate solution is rated at 200,000 tonnes per year. In addition, a major expansion in plant for the manufacture of high basicity polyaluminium chloride solution was completed in 2009 with a capacity of up to 20,000 tonnes per year.
