Retention & Drainage
Efficiencies in the papermaking process are often governed by the optimisation of the particle aggregation which is not simply the maximisation of particle size and single pass retention but also machine productivity (eg drainage) and sheet characteristics (paper formation) must also be considered in situ.
Optimum drainage is achieved using chemicals that provide small, dense particle aggregates by effectively neutralising negatively charge pulp slurries (so-called “anionic trash”). PLUSpac1000 performs this function throughout Europe by virtue of its superior cationic charge density per weight of aluminium compared with conventional PAC products available. This highly active polymer offers the high performance required at a realistic cost.
Microzil PN our premium product is also available which can be effective in solving specific problems within the process in similar applications.
